For Diploma in Theology, a minimum of 5 credits in GCE or Grade II certificate which must include English Language and C.R.K
- All other courses (Certificate in Theology& others)
- Ability to read and speak English for that courses are taught in English.
- Ability to read and speak Yoruba for the courses that are taught in the vernacular
COURSES AVAILABLE
- Degree - 4 years for O’level / 3 years for (BSC/ NCE/ HND)
- Diploma in Theology (Dip. Th) - 2 years
- Certificate in Theology - 2 years
- Certificate in Discipleship - 1 year
METHOD OF TEACHING
Presently, the programme will be on a part-time basis by which lecturers will be given only at specified times. Full details are available on request.
REGISTRATION FOR COURSE
- Before Registering for a course, the candidate must meet the pre-requisites as prescribed for that course
- Each candidate must complete the registration for each semester within the period prescribed for registration
- Any addition to or reduction in the courses for which a student is formally registered must be made with the consent of the registrar and Head of Department, such attention must be effected within the approved registration period and on the prescribed form
STUDENT WORK LOAD
- (i) Each course shall run for one semester
- (ii) Work load is defined in terms of course unit
- (iii) One unit represents one hour of lecture or one hour of tutorial per week throughout a semester.
MATRICULATION
The matriculation ceremony takes place First week in the month of MarchCourse registration closing date is last Friday in April.
TIME OF CLASS
Classes will hold on Monday – Wednesday, Friday & Saturday of every week.
Mon. – Wed. - 4 – 7pm
Fri. – Saturday - 9am – 2pm
CHRISTIAN WORK ASSIGNMENT
Each student is attached to at least 2 denominations for practical experience from the 2nd years of study. A satisfactory performance is a pre-requisite to being graduated in this college
TRAINING FOR MINISTRY
- The “Motto” of the college is “To know Jesus And To Make Him Known”
To achieve this, we lay emphasis on the “Missionary aspects of the “Great Commission”. We strive to marry sound Academic work with spiritual experience through the training of Missionary work, Revival, Church Planting and Intercessory Prayer Programme.
Each student will be encouraged to established “Preaching Posts” and / or Neighbourhood Bible Study” for teaching and preaching
- Denominational Affiliation
The GATC is trans-denomination. The right of each student to affiliate with the denomination of his / her choice is respected by the school. Each student is urged to be faithful to his own denomination, while allowing every other student the same priviledge. As a result of this policy, no member of the faculty or student body is allowed to criticize any denomination or her practices.

The GATC standard of conduct are based upon the Teaching and principles of scripture as the revelation of God’s truth that must determine both our doctrinal belief and our lifestyles also. The standard of conduct seek to develop personal holiness and discipline exemplified in a lifestyle glorifying to God

- A graduate of GATC should be able to communicate the word of God to others, with a view to winning them to faith in Christ
- A graduate of GATC should be able to expound the scripture in a systematic fashion
- A graduate of GATC should demonstrate genuine concern for missionary efforts around the world.
- A graduate of GATC should demonstrateChristian Maturity which expresses itself in commitment to Christ, to his Church, and to his denomination
- A graduate of GATC should be able to present a reasoned defence of the faith against other belief, through presentation of apologetic which is based on the biblical revelation
